Project Title: Monitoring & Evauation- Improving Livelihood of Fisher Communities in Central Indus Wetlands Complex

RG in collaboration with WWF Pakistan, carried out detailed monitoring and evaluation of the project- “Improving Livelihood of Fisher Communities in Central Wetlands Complex” in Punjab and Sindh. The project goal was to reduce poverty level of fisher communities in the project area through diversified and enhanced livelihoods means with an ultimate goal to sustainably manage the River’s associated Natural Resources. After careful community consultation, structured survey and desk review, RG came up with suggestions on the best livelihood development plan options that can be owned by the communities at large and are already tested in the Pakistani environment. Basically, it prioritized and refined livelihood schemes proposed in the plans and settled a system of regular review of these plans for their ongoing improvements in future. The project was completed in 36 months in total.
