Reflect Global has successfully conducted a research study called ‘Getting the Evidence: Asia Child Marriage Initiative”, conducted by Coram Children’s Legal Centre for Plan International. The research falls under the aegis of Plan’s “Because I am a Girl” Campaign, which was aimed at gaining a better understanding of community attitudes and norms on child marriage. The initial research has taken place in 3 countries: Bangladesh, Indonesia and Pakistan. Since the research has been designed by Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) and data collection was be carried out by national teams in each country, for the data collection process in Pakistan, Reflect Global (Pvt.) Ltd was selected through a rigorous process of scrutiny.
Reflect Gloabl research team carried out this research in three districts of Punjab: Vehari, Muzaffargarh & Rajanpur, with a purpose of gathering the evidence on structural factors that influence the practice of child marriage – socio-cultural norms, values and attitudes, gender identities and roles, legal and policy systems, the administration of resources, benefits and services, and the distribution of social, economic and political power – to inform Plan’s programming and advocacy interventions in Asia.
